was hat groove mit düster und schleppend zu tun?!?

der satz 'Du willst mir doch jetzt nicht erzählen das Scissors,Diluted,Prosthetics,Eeyore <--------------Eeyore ist das einzige Hardcore lied was slipknot überhaupt hat!' is irgendwie unvollständig, deshalb kann ich damit nix anfangen..

und nein, ich will dir nich sagen was wozu passt, weil das niemand kann. is alles im ermessen des betrachters, äh hörers, was ihm gefällt und was für ihn passt. ich habe nur geasgt dass sk keinen metalcore machen.

hm, ich will ja nix sagen. aber Slipknot machen keinen metalcore. caliban, heaven shall burn, cataract, everytime i die -> das sind geile metalcore bands. übrigens: allen voran muss man immer noch DAMNATION A.D. nennen finde ich.
aber jetzt zum thema: corey ist ein guter shouter, aber es gibt weit aus bessere. wie der herr zytozid schon erwähnte: arkangel - die sind richtig aggro. und die kann man sicherlich net die ganze zeit hören, sonst kriegt man ne meise
warum tyrant allerdings metalcore mit "düsteren, kranken und schleppenden sounds" umschreibt ist mir auch ein rätsel. klar, "a summerdream" von caliban ist krank (und ar.schgeil) aber schleppend? schleppend sind obituary. und düster ist das alles auch nicht.
aber tyrant, ich hab mal ne empfehlung für dich: hör dir mal die "covered in blood" cd an. da covern verschiedene hardcore acts slayer. und nur mal so nebenbei: viele metalcore bands bezeichnen slayer als großen einfluss, z.b. caliban oder shadows fall.

Here's a partial list of items the family are asking the band to replace or fix: Broken windows throughout the house, new painted kitchen destroyed, damage to the driveway, torn-up lawn, front door destroyed, rugs sustained water damage, whole house needs repainting, gutters were broken, back door and window frames broken, equipment missing, basketball backboard trashed, damage from cigarette butts, ceiling destroyed where chandelier fell, picnic tables broken."

JA es ist klar das metalcore auch von slayer beeinflusst wird.
Habe nie das gegenteil behauptet.
Ich intepretier die sachen anderes als du.
Wenn du meinst das nichts von Slipknot groovt oder schlepend ist.
Das meinst du das!
Das hört du meines erachtens irgendiwe falsch.
Das mit dem Muh kannste dir auch sparen.
Nunja ist auch ziemlich trvial alles aber ich denke du denkst total ins klische!

Was sich liebt, dass neckt sich.

da ich ihn 02 aufm WFF mit Lock Up gesehen habe, kann ich mir wohl ein sehr gutes urteil über seine fähigkeiten machen.

Aaah, verstehe. Und da du Joey Jordison noch nicht live gesehen hast, ist er ein beschissener Drummer.
Sagt mir doch mal ein hübsches Lied von Dimmu Borgir oder Lock Up, bei dem ihr meint, dass es Joey Jordison nicht hin kriegt. Ich bin gespannt.
Nur so: Der absolute Slipknot-Fan bin ich auch nicht, aber Herr Jordison ist gut. Und dass er angeblich im Jazz-Drumming Erfahrung hat, spielt hier überhaupt keine Rolle.

Aber mal wieder was zu dem neuen Lied.
Ich habe SlipKnot sehr gern gehört und fand auch die beiden letzten CDs sehr geil. Doch das grade ist eine sehr seltsame Sache gewesen. Der Sound ist irgendwie super trocken und steril, alles klingt nach Digital.
Und das die Jungs an Gitarre und Drums (also Joey) wirklich gut sind, kann ja wohl keiner bestreiten. Grade bei den Gitarren merkt man das oft nicht sofort.
Live werde ich mir die Band trotzdem auch ein drittes Mal geben. Das geht nämlich echt ab wie Hölle.
Schade, dass dieser Song so sehr leblos ist und sicher auch die ganze Platte so klingt. Aber lasst mal noch etwas abwarten, was dann die Platte macht. Ich könnte mir vorstellen, dass die PR-Gruppe von Roadrunner absichtlich den scheinbar kompatibelsten Song früher veröffentlicht. Ich bin sehr gespannt was uns so noch erwartet.

also Pulse Of The Maggots find ich einfach mal durchschnittlich, bis aufs Gitarrensolo is doch alles gleich geblieben, der Sound, das Drumming, Riffing, alles typisch Slipknot...

Eternal ist vom Sound her schonmal gar nicht Slipknot, Pinch Harmonics hab ich bei denen noch nie gehört, die Produktion is irgendwie auch anders, der Shouter soll Corey sein? klingt ganz anders irgendwie...
ne kann nich sein, is fake würd ich sagen. ich glaub erst das das sipknot is, wenn der track auf dem album is.
