Mal ehrlich, wer braucht denn DX7 Sounds? Mir definitiv zu oldschool, auch wenn ich in einer ClassicRock Coverband spiele...

Moment, zusätzlich zum direkten Sysex Import (das kann der Montage zB nicht), kann man das neue FM auch als Block in VAST verwenden und Samples in der neuen Engine zum Modulieren verwenden. Das eröffnet sehr viele Möglichkeiten, die über DX7 hinaus gehen. Außerdem sind die ENVs in der neuen Engine extrem schnell. Keine Update Rate Hürde, das ist ein Quantensprung. Leider nicht im VAST.

Grundsätzlich ist das ein langer Wunsch von sehr vielen Kurzweil Usern, und sie haben die Erwartungen da sogar noch übertroffen.

Nun ja, mehrere DX7 quasi geschenkt zu bekommen hab ich nichts dagegen ;-) Aber noch viel interessanter ist, was Duplo sagt: FM Sounds mit VAST und Effekten weiter zu entwickeln wird sicherlich spannend.

Also, wenn ich einen DX7 geschenkt bekäme, wäre meine erste Aktion, den weiter zu verscherbeln, solange es noch Leute gibt, die so eine Kiste suchen *OffTopicMode=OFF*

Hmm... DX7 Sound zu old school? Dann mal hier reinhören. ;-)

Wenn ich mich recht erinnere, gingen einige der Sachen auch schon recht gut mit einem DX11, obwohl der nur 4 Operatoren hatte, und man konnte ihn unter den Arm klemmen.
Jetzt klemme ich halt zwei Laptops und ein Masterkeyboard unter den Arm.

Hat einer von den Forte 4.0 Beta Testern unter Euch eine Ahnung, warum das 4.0 Release noch nicht da ist? Soweit ich gehört habe, scheint die Beta Version ja gut zu funktionieren.

Die haben das FM ziemlich umfangreich erweitert. Ich denke wenn da User ans Limit gehen kommen noch Bugs ans Tageslicht. In der letzten Beta kamen nochmal einige Dinge dazu.

Man darf sich auf jeden Fall freuen.

Ich habe sehr preiswert einen Forte88 als B Ware gekauft und habe eine Frage und ein Problem:

01. Wenn ich am Main Out anschließe kommt das Signal nur auf einer Seite (links raus). Wenn ich im Menü Output B "spiele" dann kommt Bein Anschluss an B der Ton auch einwandfrei heraus. Zu 99% kaputt, oder gibt es eine "Mono-Option" oder irgendwas? reset habe ich durchgeführt.

02. Die unteren zwei und die oberste Taste sind gelblich, alle anderen weiß, ich vermute doch schwer, dass dies wohl keine Absicht ist?

Zum Thema DX7, ich musste die Tage Kayleigh / Marillion covern, und ich konnts kaum glauben, aber aus meinem Motif XF war kein gscheits DX7-FM Ep rauszubringen...dünn, drucklos eher peinlich für Yamaha. Das FM-Piano aus dem Kurzweil klingt auf anhieb perfekt

ich hab mir jetzt auch das beta 4.0 besorgt aber noch nicht installiert, sondern erst mal ein backup gemacht. oh mann, das dauert, bis die 1,5gb user samples auf dem usb stick sind.

gibt‘s eigentlich irgendwo eine anleitung für das os 4.0? ich hab nur das os file bekommen. da war sonst nix dabei.

Bin ja nun seit ein paar Tagen auch glücklicher Beta Tester von OS 4.0. Ich kann nur sagen, geil und nochmal geil. Mit den FM Soundmöglichkeiten gewinnt der Forte nochmal einiges an Extra Power. Ich komm aus dem Soundbasteln gar nicht mehr raus und bin nur am Grinsen, was da jetzt alles geht. Daumen hoch Kurzweil Folks!

Three tuning maps are included, Railsback (a common stretched tuning), E.Piano (based on a common electric piano service manual), and Grand Eight (based on a grand piano). Mal ein ganz anderes Thema zwischendurch: Forte / Forte SE MIDI per USB verträgt sich mit dem aktuellen macOS 10.15 / Catalina?

Sollte ja eigentlich keine Probleme geben, da Class Compliant USB bzw. keine dezidierten Treiber, oder?!

So langsam könnte man ja updaten - fast alles was ich hier so nutze ist nun auch für Catalina freigegeben
