After a rather long period of silence the band has come back to activity and during mid June 2010 they released a 7inch avinyl album through the label Droehnhaus containing two fine piece, Calamity/Perdition, drenched with the band's typical heavy and atmospheric style.
The style of the band has not substantially changed from the early demo. So if you liked the trio back in time, you won't be disappointed by the ton-heavy riffs and suffered, pessimistic melodies oscillating between sludge and dark atmospheric doom.
Various German webzines (e.g., www. metal.de, Kulturterrorismus.de, etc.) saluted the return of the band back in action. Several reviewers have very much appreciated the viscous lava-like riffs produced by guitarist Henny and able to kidnap the listener and drag him/her into the depths of gloom and nihilism. There's not much need of exaggerate technical gimmicks to create dark tunes and ambiance. The rhythms are unbearably slow and dense, almost march-like in some instances, and mid-tempo riff/drum explosions interrupt the creep of the sound mass only occasionally but enough to keep mind and breath and feet hooked to the lava flow. The drone-ish and psychedelic components that one could hear in the demo tracks are maybe lacking in the new tracks, which are dominated by a crushing blend of heavy, mid-tempo "British"; doom and coarse sludge, a mixture acting like a "thunder in your stomach";. However the heaviness of the pummeling riffs can become almost psychedelic in its development, especially in the second track.
Well, if one has to judge from this return in action by the band, big things are bound to come from these three doomsters!
Nothing new is invented here but the doom people need to be fed by cool, crushing tunes like and more than an obsessive Tamagotchi! And this German doom food is so tasty!
So, as reported on the band's website, this 7inch serving is an appetizer for a split with the German band Rule of Coss due out in December 2010 and a more substantial, plump full-length album to come soon, hopefully in Spring 2011 …
