Alle Presets klingen wieder anders und sind unterschiedlich laut.
Scott Peterson schrieb:The useful range of the master volume has changed - dramatically. The amps all have a lower preamp gain (*which is more accurate to the originals) as a result; but this will blow you away once you get it dialed in. Even heavy gainers like the Cameron and Bogner Red will breath like beasts. Pretty simple process; but you do need to recheck your volume matching once you have dialed up to get your presets all even again.
Here's the MO:
Tips: I am finding that MV amps end up with higher settings; somewhere in the 4-6 range more often than not. There is no need to crush them down in order to smooth them out; now they are raging like the tubes are about to explode. If you want pristine cleans on non-MV amps, set the MV at 9.00... but man, try cranking it up to 10.00 and adjust the drive from there. Whew!
- Reset the amp 'type' to update the amp block advanced parameters. (Change to another amp type and then back).
- Start the Master Volume on 5 (noon)
- For Non-MV amps, dial it up till it 'opens' and fattens up. 9.00 is equivalent to "10.00" on the last firmware. This gives Non-MV amps a 'push' ala Ceaser Diaz's (SRV) trick with amps.
- Then adjust your drive per amp - the useful range is increased; reset your convention on how to set this, trust your ears.
- You'll notice that you can (and should) use higher settings on Treble and Presence on most all your amps. Be sure to try Bright Switches now; if it is too shrill a good rule of thumb is to set the value for the Bright switch (in the Advanced Tab) to about 200pF or so.
- Have fun and play guitar.
I am approaching it with new ears and finding less need to do anything with the top end as opposed to lowering the high end speaker resonance before... Marshall's in particular I am finding that I am using lots of Treble and Presence and the occasional bright switch... which I have rarely used in the past. Using the Bright Switch alters the gain structure - sometimes dramatically - so again... trust your ears.
Have fun!!
