As many of you know Jay was the king of the 70's LA session scene...He was lukes Mentor and personally selected Luke to inherit his throne in the 80's. Jay went on to be a very successful producer and songwriter. His most famous solo is probably Steely Dan's Peg. He wrote After the love is gone, Turn your love around and many hits. He gave David Foster his start too.
Jay is absolutely the most detailed musician I know...He is just absolutely over the top...Here is an email he sent unsolicited to every guitar player he knows......remember he did this on his own.

As we know, Les Paul and Leo Fender changed the game in guitar land. Then Ernie Ball took things a step further with light guage strings. Since then, no major innovations have taken place in the guitar world.
The electric guitar world is about to change big time! Sterling Ball has come up with an idea that will be the next big leap in electric guitar land!
Music Man will soon release, "The Game Changer"; guitars and basses. In brief, there are thousands of tonal possibilities created by pickup wiring configurations.
As to the guitar version, the guitar is a modified Music Man REFLEX, which has two humbucking pickups. The five position pickup switch incorporates the standard way of wiring pickups. Pull up the tone control pot as to switch in a mode that allows five different sonic choices! If that was not cool enough, the guitar also has a 15-position toggle switch that allows for fourteen more sonic choices!!! Twenty-four pickup configuration settings in full on the guitar!!!
The choices are amazing allowing for sounds that have so many different tonal shapes — from fat sounding beauty through shimmering high frequency settings loaded with delicious harmonics, and everything in-between!
It gets better. Via a USB cable plugged into the guitar and a computer, there will be a web site in which you can load banks, patches and artist favorites. You can save your favorite patches there as well. Dig this! There will be thousands of patches offered!!! Further, in the future, all kinds other fun stuff will be available using the USB cable to interface with other gear!!!
I saved the best part for last so dig this! The Game Changer guitar is the best electric guitar I have ever played!!! When I first experimented with the pickup settings, after a few minutes, I realized the Game Changer guitar is an excellent sounding humbucking type but also can take the place of a strat when wanting the high shimmering type of sound!!! The guitar incorporates a Fender scale but has a feel more like a Gibson scale meaning very easy to bend strings! When I started playing chord melody stuff, I was shocked as to the intonation!!! Chords played in-tune all over the guitar!!! The guitar has incredible sustain caused by porting and the wood selections!!!
