Überladen?.. Findet ihr Beyond This Life und This Dying Soul auch überladen?

Ja. BTL ist einfach zu lang für das, was es bietet, und der Psychedelic-Part passt meiner Meinung nach wirklich nicht in den Song rein. TDS ist bis Minute 7 in Ordnung, aber dann geht's wirklich abwärts. Das Unisono-Gefuddel ganz am Schluss ist für mich ein Tiefpunkt in DTs Musik, leider...

Ist zwar wieder Geschmackssace aber grade in BTL hab ich mich so richtig verliebt, Labrie seine Stimme gefällt mir endlich und das abgedrehte Ende ist toll, sowieso hat der ganze Song den Charme der 70er mit ner guten Prise Metal.

Mmmh, den Charme der 70er höre ich hier absolut nicht raus, irgendwie, aber die ist vllt einfach nur Geschmackssache.
Ich steh auf solche Frickeleien, aber da finde ich, dass A Nightmare To Remember besser augebaut ist als This Dying Soul. This Dying Soul erscheint irgendwie zweigeteilt und gerät am Ende einfach ein Kontrolle. Bei Nightmare kommt es garnicht so weit find ich.

Ich hab gerade eben mal versucht, ein Paar Bruchteile des A Nighmare To Remember Textes zu verstehen.
Ich wäre sehr froh über Verbesserungsvorschläge, Ergänzungen oder Ähnliches.
Es fehlen mir noch sehr, sehr viele Stellen (besonders bei dem ruhigen Mittelteil und dem Teil, wo Mike "growlt"), die einige von euch vielleicht verstanden haben, also wäre ich dankbar für Vorschläge .

Wenn du Winamp hast, kann ich dir nur empfehlen dir dazu ein Lyrics-Plugin zu holen, dann laufen die immer Parallel zum Lied mit und du kannst sofort mitlesen, ohne groß suchen/rätseln zu müssen.

Wow... Also wenn das der echte Text ist, dann vermisse ich sogar das Niveau von The Answer Lies Within, Forsaken und Co. Das tut ja echt weh, so etwas zu lesen, vor allem wenn man weiß, dass derselbe Mann den Text für Misunderstood, Voices, Scarred und Lines In The Sand geschrieben hat...

Also mir gefällt der Text wesentlich besser, als einige frühere. Das Schlimste, fand ich, war The Ministry Of Lost Souls.
Und mir gefällt dieser Text auch wesentlich besser als der Rest von Systematic Chaos und sogar Teile von Octavarium (obwohl mir hier grade der Text des Titelstücks zusagt).
Selbstverständlich kommt er nicht an die älteren Texte ran, wie beispielsweise Metropolis Pt.1 oder Beyond This Life, aber ich finde, so schlimm wie die bei SC ist er nicht ausgefallen.

Bei "crashing fast" muss es "crashing glass" heißen... macht auch mehr Sinn!

Hallo!
Hat einer von euch eine Ahnung, wielange welche Band in etwa bei der Progressive Nation Tour spielt, bzw. was da bisher so üblich war? Ich würde eventuell nach Berlin fahren, das richtet sich allerdings mit danach, wieviel ich da dann wirklich von Dream Theater hab.
