Ich persönlich finde die Setlist ganz geil, liegt aber vllt auch daran das ich das neue Album gut finde

Juhu morgen ist es schließlich soweit!!! Frankfurt Batschkapp.

War schon jemand bei einem Konzert der Tour? Backstage München oder so?
Wenn ja, wie war's und wie war das Set?

Hier mal mein Review ausm Trivium-Board, allerdings auf Englisch:

Allright, returned yesterday at about 1 a.m., wasn't that late. My neck still hurting and my voice still, well, I don't know what to say in English.
Wolf and Dew Scented were great, good sound, nice show and cool songs! I got myself to the first row on the right site, really good sight to the stage, but no pits, but well. Wink
Was quite excited about Trivium, finally the Final Fantasy (?) music started, cool feeling (music was a bit too long though).
Trivium opened with Entrance, great opener, into Detonation. Lost my voice after those 2, LLTF followed. Great! Next song they played was Rats as far as I remember, into Ember, fucking great! Ignition followed I think and then a song I really wanted to hear: Tread The Floods. Great show until then..
But after that it went only worse... Dying in your arms, Unrepentant, Gunshot, Anthem, Pull Harder... Dunno, since DIYA I hated every single song^^
Great show though, but nothing against last time I saw them in Munich...
We waited quite a long time before the building for the band to come out, but nothing happened, so we got ourselves a taxi to the next station... Went there with 3 friends, one of them got a pick and the others a stick, I was the only one with nothing, but well, got a pick and nice photos from last time. Wink

Ok, now the things I didn't like yesterday:

-Paolo is the only one really moving on the stage, Matt and Corey were always fixed to the left of the stage, though they came to us sometimes. And when you stand right in front of Paolo and he's just running around to Travis, to Corey, there's noone at your side. Wink
-Setlist was MUCH too short! Only 12 songs for a HEADLINE show, didn't have the feeling that they played much more than Dew Scented...
-Really missed Suffocating Sight and Rain and Drowned And Torn Asunder and Ascendancy and Deceived in the set. Especially Suffocating Sight...
-All of the new songs were played too fast I think. Tread the Floods was played really bad...
-Wolf's and Dew Scented's sound was better than Trivium's imo...
-Had the feeling like they played some parts in Entrance slower than the rest... Weird.
-Didn't ask if they should play Requiem or Ember, but well, both good songs.
-The screaming... Ascendancy songs just don't work with normal singing, Corey should scream the parts just like in the ember songs imo. The songs got so much more power with screaming...
-Didn't get a pick, though Corey throwed about 5 in my direction... oO

But hey, they said they're gonna be back in May, maybe it'll be better then. Show wasn't too bad yesterday, there just were many little things that pissed me of a bit...

12 Songs is eigentlich n bischen mager find ich... Immerhin hat die Band 3 Alben und ne Demo. Gut, Demo muss ja nicht sein, aber ein Lied aus Ember To Inferno? Da könnte man noch 2 draufpacken, die geil sind.
Oder wenigstens n gutes Cover oder sowas...

Und ich vermisse auch n paar Songs zumindest in diesem Set.

- Drowned And Torn Asunder



naja abwarten... wird bestimmt trotzdem ne geile Sache!!!

Paolo hat hinterher als Antwort gepostet:

We will be coming back to headline in May, and we will be doing alot of songs, probably 15-17 songs. We didn't have much more ready to play since we haven't been doing much on the Maiden tour.

Werden also auf den 2 anderen Shows auch nicht viel mehr spielen... 7-String Songs werden laut Paolo bis nächsten Sommer höchstwahrscheinlich gar nicht gespielt.

Das mit den 7-String Songs is wirklich blöde... aber ich so wie die Setlist zu sien scheint, freu ich mich jetzt auf alle tierisch.. vor allem auf To the Rats!

Hab sie gestern beim Iron Maiden Konzert gesehen, was allerdings nicht so begeistert, was daran liegen könnte, dass der Mischer einfach ein Arsch war. Maiden hatten astreinen Sound, Trivium einen beschissenen.

Heute geh ich nach Stuttgart und werde mir Trivium livehaftig reinziehen, mal sehen ob sich meine Skepsis widerlegen lässt.

Sooo.. war gestern im Batschkapp und fand es echt ziemlich geil!! Die Setliste war soweit ich mich erinnere genau wie in dem anderen Review. Den Sound fand ich echt gut und die Show war auch geil.

War auch von den Vorbands überrascht. Wolf ham richtig rein gehauen und Dew Scented oder wie man sie schreibt gingen einfach derbst ab.

Die Trivium Setlist war allerdings doch etwas kurz.. hoffe das wird nächstes Jahr noch etwas besser. Schade fand ich irgendwie das sie nich Rain gespielt haben.. aber mit To The Rats ham sie das gut gemacht. Der Song is live einfach genial!+

Jap kann ich bestätigen! Hammergeiles Konzert.

Erste Reihe, Pleks gefangen, und nach dem Konzert mit Corey vor ihrem Nightliner bissl gelabert...

Setlist war wirklich etwas kurz aber dafür hatte sie es in sich! So nah war ich noch an keine Band rangekommen bis jetzt. Find das klasse, dass sie so starken Kontakt zu ihren Fans haben und dass man bei denen als Fan überhaupt noch die Möglichkeit dazu bekommt. Einfach ne halbe Stunde vor dem Bus warten und los gehts...

Also wir haben diesmal sicher ne dreiviertelstunde gewartet und es kam diesmal niemand... Ich weiß nich, war einfach nich begeistert von dem Konzert... Das letzte in München war zehnmal besser und das im Mai wird hoffentlich auch besser...
Das liegt irgendwie gar nichmal an den neuen Songs glaub ich. Oder vielleicht doch?

ich glaub er will zeigen wie die alten Songs mit der neuen Stimme sind....

also mir gefällt ja so rauhes "normales" singen..... aber zu diesem Lied passts einfach rein gar nicht :screwy:

In der Strophe singt er ja nur irgendwie 2 oder 3 verschiedene Töne :screwy:

Nach dem Konzert gestern in Stuttgart sind Trivium für mich kein Thema mehr. Das war furchtbar erbärmlich und enttäuschend. Der "Gesang" war tonal wie vom stimmlichen Volumen her richtig ärmlich. Man hat die Songs kaum auseinanderhalten können weil sie so lieblos und überheblich gespielt wurden, das war ein einziges Gematsche. Auf Songs wie "Like Light to Flies" hatte ich mich eigentlich gefreut, aber was die Jungs damit angestellt haben war wirklich schrecklich... gerade der Mittelteil war total ausm Timing, generell wurde durch die Riffs und vor allem Soli gehuddelt und gepatzt. Positiv war die einzig die Leistung des Drummers der einen soliden Eindruck hinterlassen hat. Der Sänger hat äußerst dumme Ansagen vom Stapel gelassen wie "This is a Metal Song so you gotta bang your head!". Kein Kommentar dazu. Die lahmen Publikumsreaktionen in der an sich gut gefüllten Schleyer Halle haben genug gesagt.Die Show wirkte arrogant, zum einen das lächerliche Gepose und dann musste der Lead- Gitarist alles Gegrunze singen weil sich der "Lead- Sänger" scheinbar zu fein dafür war. Dazu kam das selbst die harmonischen, cleanen Gesangsparts mit möchtegern- coolem "rauem" Gesang total kaputt gemacht wurden. Trivium sind für mich nach diesem Desaster abgeschrieben.

Achso...
Ja, die alten Lieder mit diesem neuen Gesang gefallen mir auch überhaupt nicht. Die neuen sind schon gut, auch mit der Art von Gesang. Ist halt was ganz anderes, aber finds schon ok. Aber der Versuch, die alten Sachen an die neuen anzupassen ist meiner Meinung nach volkommen fehlgeschlagen und die tollen ersten beiden Alben werden live versaut.
Auch wenn das Konzert am Mittwoch geil war: wenn die alten Songs geshoutet würden wärs um einiges besser.
