Ja, die Ba Ba Ti Ki Di DO find ich auch gut. Sehr schöne Musik.

Richtig, die Vinyl hat ne recht geringe Auflage, deswegen ist das auch auf jeder Platte per Hand eingeritzt

Mal was kurios/verrücktes am Rande: Wenn man Track 1,2 und 3 der Ba Ba Ti Ki Di Do übereinanderlegt, entsteht ein komplett neuer Song. Die Einzeltracks sind also komplett aufeinander abgestimmt, einfach Wahnsinn

Sigur Rós haben für das Sothside Festival bestätigt. Da ich vor hab/hatte dorthin zu fahren, war ich natürlich erstmal baff. Trotzdem wäre es natürlich schöner, wenn eine Deutschland Tour dabei wäre, wo sie schonmal im Land sind. Denn ich wollte sie eigentlich nicht mit zigtausend Leuten, die solche Musik nicht gewöhnt sind, auf einer Freilichtbühne sehen, sondern lieber mal in "kleinen Kreis". Hat da jemand zufällig Gerüchte gehört?

Ich waer auch gern dorthin gefahren , eigentlich nur wegen Sigur Rós. Nur kommt keiner mit Und allein hab ich auch nicht wirklich Lust, dorthin zu fahren. Wie du sagtest, waere aber ne Tour viel besser, doch was tut man nich alles fuer die Lieblingsband

Geruechte hab ich auch keine gehoert, im Sigur Rós Board auf deren Homepage war sogar mal die Rede, dass die Band sich aufloesen moechte, weil jeder woanders wohnt Ich hoffe mal, dass das nicht stimmt, sie nehmen ja gerade ein neues Album auf.

Dass keiner mitkommt ist auch ein Problem von mir... ich habe sogar schon von meinem Vater die "Erlaubnis" dorthin zu fahren, obwohl er seinen 50. feiert Egal, irgendwen schlepp ich mit

Von Auflösungsgerüchten hab ich noch garnichts gehört, das wäre ja mal garnicht gut. Andererseits müsste man die Entscheidung akzeptieren, egal wie die Gründe wären...

Sigur Ros and YouTube make a little bit of history this Friday (Mar 7) with the band taking over the entire front page of the site around the world for a whole day, becoming the first group to ever have a feature-length music DVD streamed on the channel, with their acclaimed 'Heima' documentary shown in its complete 97-minute glory.



All 12 available slots on YouTube's home page will be devoted to the Icelandic quartet for a full 24-hours, putting them before a global audience of hundreds of millions. The link-up follows the success of 'Minn Heima', a competition hosted by YouTube (http://www.youtube.com/group/MinnHeima) for fans of the band to create their own little version of 'Heima', using audio and video clips posted online. The 10 best entries, as judged by the band, will be featured on the home page, alongside the film itself, as well as a special message from the band, taking time off from recording their new album in Reykjavik.



YouTube has only previously hosted a handful of long form presentations, none for music DVDs. It is the first ever UK home page "takeover" since the launch of http://uk.youtube.com - the localized home page that allows for country-specific video rankings and comments.



Simultaneous with the YouTube promotion, the band will launch www.sigurros.com, giving away a free audio-visual download clip of the song 'Ny Batteri' filmed live in Reykjavik in the summer of 2006 as part of the Heima tour. 'Ny Batteri' is just one of a dozen additional songs not featured in the film that the band are intending to make available via the site in the near future. Information about the forthcoming album will also be revealed via www.sigurros.com…

btw: Wenn man hier irgendeine Adresse eingibt, kann man sich ein Live-Video vom Song "Ny Batteri" runterladen. Sehr gut gelungen, wie ich finde!

Nachtrag zu obigem: Ihr Equipment Fuhrpark scheint sich mittlerweile übrigens gigantisch vergrößert zu haben. Wer sich die Live-DVD mal angesehen hat, wird nicht nur diverese Akustikbässe, Akustikgitarren (Ich meine eine Seagull), Bässe (Semiakustisch oder oft Fender Jazzbass) und "unkonventionelle" Instrumente finden, bei einem kleinen Gig wird sogar eine ESP Viper (mit EMGs ) gespielt..sie scheinen sich da echt nicht festzulegen...

Nachdem ich das Reykjavik Konzert auf der DVD gesehen hatte, war ich umso mehr begeistert.. es ist einfach spannend, wie die ganze Band untereinander auf der Bühne die Instrumente tauscht. Glockenspiel, Klavier, Rhodes, Bass, Gitarre, da scheint jeder fast alles spielen zu können...

sigur rós are currently in abbey road's studio one recording a track with a boys choir and 67-piece orchestra. in an interview in today's morgunblaðið newspaper, orri revealed that the album's sound is considerably different than on their previous albums, and that the lyrics on this album will be "more understandable to the public than on previous albums";. the album is nearly completed and is expected to be released this summer.
