Kravitz Gitarren Sound Amp

Hi,
immer wieder hört man alte Lieder und fragt sich... Was hat der für ein Equipment benutzt?

Ich habe ein paar Fragen zu Liedern, wie:

1) Git Solo "Can't get you off my mind"
Klingt wie Rio Reisers "Junimond" Solo ---single coil----


2) Rhythm Git "Rock n Roll is dead" oder "american Woman"

3) Kravitz Vocals klingen auch sehr speziell. Doubler, Echo statt Hall...

Man höre sich bitte mal das Intro von "Rock n Roll is dead" an. Nach 10sec wechselt der Mono Sound zu Ultra Stereo irgendwas ... Aber WAS??

Ist halt ne Studioproduktion.. Das ist ja nicht live eingespielt, Effekt reingekickt und dann klingt das so. Aber der Hauptaspekt von der Soundveränderung die du meinst ist denke ich eine Dopplung der Gitarre (zweimal/mehrfach das gleiche auf beiden Seiten) und der Einstieg vom Bass, der das gleiche spielt und andickt

Jetzt ganz konkret:
Bei "Fly away" brettert Kravitz im Intro einen superfurtztrockenen vintage sound rein.
KLingt fast wie Transistor Amp, aber ist wohl ein Marshall Röhrenamp.

Hat irgendjemand Transistor Amps die so klingen können?????

Der Song Fly Away ist vom 1998er Album "5". Hier ein Video aus dem selben Jahr, du siehst ein schönes Fender Rig (und keine Flying V )

What was your setup in the studio for recording the guitar tracks on Lenny?
I have a lineup of about 12 guitars – the goldtop and some other Les Pauls, Strats, Teles, the Sorrento, Flying Vs, and a couple of basses, like a Jazz Bass, P-Bass, and Gibson EB bass. I had a few heads in the control room – a Marshall, a Park, and another Marshall. I also have a bunch of older Fender amps I use, like blackface Twin Reverbs and Pros, a tweed Deluxe. Those are the basic things I start with when I’m recording.

I love the guitar tone on your early albums, like Let Love Rule and Are You Gonna Go My Way. What was your setup in the studio on those records? — Grayson Malloy
On Let Love Rule, it was primarily a tweed Fender Deluxe cranked to 10. When you turn that amp all the way up, it compresses itself and makes this beautiful tone. That’s pretty much the dirty sound on the album. I think I also had a Fender Twin Reverb for the cleaner stuff.
The guitar, for the most part, was actually an Epiphone Sorrento. I used a Telecaster for some of the clean stuff, and that was it. Are You Gonna Go My Way was a little different. There were so many amps on the album that it’s hard to remember all of them. But on that song [“Are You Gonna Go My Way”] in particular I used a Gibson Skylark, a little tiny amp that has the most brilliant sound. And the guitar was a Les Paul—not the Flying V that’s in the video. Oddly enough, I’ve never used a V in the studio, even though I’m so associated with that guitar.

von Fly Away hab ich nur gefunden, dass es offensichtlich ohne viel Aufwand nur mit Gitarre und Amp entstanden ist (an anderer Stelle hat er erzählt, er macht keine Demos, also spricht er auch hier wohl nicht von einem Demo sondern dem echten Song)

GW How did “Fly Away” come about?
KRAVITZ I was riding around in the Bahamas in my Jeep on the beach, kinda speeding down the beach, feeling the wind and the sun and the ocean. Then I went into the studio and was playing around with an amp and a guitar, just trying to get a little sound out of it. And I played that riff, and it just kind of…you know when you’re checking out an amp sometimes, and the sound makes you play a certain thing? That’s what happened here. “Fly Away” came out instantly.
