Da mir der Name nichts sagt, aber Fragen aufwirft (Echo-Verschlechterer???), hab ich mich mal informiert:
The Echo Degrader, from Industrialectric, is a Lo-fi delay that can go from short reverb-like delays to slow crushing distorted repeats (up to 10 seconds). The degrade knob downsamples the input, which produces crazy timbral variation. The tape stability function responds to the character of the input signal, and can produce effects similar to tape warping. The Echo Degrader's feedback settings keep it from ever running away with self oscillation. It keeps it right on the edge, providing a quasi-looper.
The Echo Degrader is yet another unique pedal hand-made and hand-finished in Canada by the company Industrialectric. The variety of delay tones in this pedal is so insanely wide we haven’t even scratched the surface with this demo! From soft, murky, dark and throbby to bright, clearer and more percussive, from static to warbly and drowsy or clean to noisy and dirty… This pedal can definitely make the repeats sound interesting and inspiring and create complex atmospheres within the simplest musical ideas! The momentary switch does not only turn on the oscillation, it can also be used for sustaining the cloudy repeats, creating almost loop-like segments or even create fake ducking delay. And despite the pedal being often as obscured and dark sounding, it works like a charm on bass as well! Check out the Industrialectric Echo Degrader over at East Stomp Boutique!
