Kleines Review:
Got it today and am very impressed with it. The craftsmanship is flawless. i cannot find one inperfection. Playability wise the neck is very fast, smooth. The ebony feels buttery. Doing dive bombs with the whammy bar she stays in tune for the most part. A little tweaking is needed if you really beat on her. Tone wise the bridge 81 sounds beefy. Lots of sustain, nice harmonics. Not as chunky as the explorers, but it will give them a run for their money. Very funt to play and the flat matt finish feels so cool
My only gripes are as follow. The volume knob is a little too close to the bridge. I find when I play I keep nicking it with my hands when down picking. Sometimes when I hit it it lowers the volume a tad. I still prefer medium frets and would feel the guitar would be way faster if it had mediums. But as I udnerstand it, XJ's make it easier to play the higher frets??? Is that true? I can see it is easier a little to solo up top. Also for clean tones, the neck 81 is not to my liking. I will be swapping it for sure with a 60. It does the job and does not sound bad, just a little too dirty for my tastes.
The floyd is taking some getting used to. I am stickler with my guiatrs being perfectly in tune, and get annoyed when fine tuning the floyd
