Hallo zusammen,
hier ein Text über eine Frau, die etwas in mir gesehen hat, das ich
wahrscheinlich gar nicht bin... Freue mich auf Gedanken dazu.

The Unanswered Question (Met the Messiah)
-------------------------------------------
When I entered the room you met the Messiah.
You asked if it's me, which I denied.
But you didn't trust me cause you thought I'd try you.
So you grabbed your chance to get advice and said,
Tell me what I must do to get into heaven!
What must I do to get into heaven?
On the floor the other patients were fighting for cigarettes.
The nurse was outside faking office work,
when you could no longer bear that unanswered question.
You slit open your wrists and tore out your fingernails.*1
Tell me what I must do to get into heaven?
What must I do to get into heaven?
Your father was a god with a penis.
Your mother a Maria of sorts.
She never thought the bible would kill you,
but you knew you'd forever be lost.
When earth is hell we're urging for heaven -
and you found the way to open its gates...
The other patients hardly noticed you were gone,
one plate less during meals to steal from.
But I've been nailed to the unanswered question,
Was there any chance I could have saved your life?*2
Varianten...
*1 Logischer (gefällt mir aber nicht so):
"You slit open your wrists with your torn out fingernails."
*2 Die letzte Zeile könnte vielleicht auch so heißen...
- If any response could have saved your life.
- If there's any response that could have saved your life.
- If a different response could have saved your life.
- If a better response could have saved your life.
- Have I blown the chance to save your life?
Welche Version findet Ihr am stärksten?
