Hallöchen, dies ist quasi mein erster englischer Text.
Eigentlich bin ich Gitarrist in unserer Band, bin aber zwangsläufig durch einen gebrochenen kleinen Finger am Spielen gehindert. Da hab ich mir gedaxht ok, schreibst du mal einen Text
Wir haben schon instrumental einiges stehen, nur mit den Texten gehts nicht so schnell. Dieser Song basiert auf einem einfachen, aber einprägsamen gute-laune-riff und tjoa.

Besser wäre "turn the radio on", aber das ist nicht falsch so wie es ist. Der zweite Teil ist schon holpriger, vielleicht eher sowas wie "listen closly"?

"remonstrative" ist ein adjetiv und müsste vor "song" stehen. Besser hier "... is remonstration"

Ich verstehe das als eine satirische Darstellung von Doppelbödigkeit/-moral:
Lass uns für Demokratie singen/einstehen
aber fass nicht meinen eigenen Reichtum an (aber mehr als Singen will ich dafür nicht tun)
das ist halt die moderne Art des Protestes

Also paßt für mich schon - Idee finde ich auch schön - bin mal gespannt auf die Umsetzung.
Und ich bin mal gespannt auf den nächsten Text - der kann ja nicht schon wieder davon handeln, dass man nix zu sagen hat ...

Aber mal ein Tipp: schau Dir einfach mal die unten verlinkten Texte hier auf dem Board an - sozusagen als Anregung für imhio gute Texte, die halt nicht mit ner Überzeugungskeule daherkommen und halt trotzdem keine LariFari-BlaBlaBla-Texte sind, sondern Spaß machen und eigen sind und meist auch eher zu grader rockiger Musik geschrieben sind:

Mit "Familienjuwelen" meinte ich die "Boyparts", die "Nono-zone" die "Balls" - na, die Eier eben....Meine erste Assoziation bei "touch" und "jewellery" ist das sofort, dass es sich auf "echten" Reichtum beziehen könnte, darauf wäre ich nie gekommen. Wo liegt auch die Diskrepanz zwischen Demokratie und Geld? Also, mir ist der Teil nocht klar ....
