so mal wieder was auf englisch von mir. bitte um c&c und ggf. verbesserungsvorschlaege.
betreffs des titels..ich denke mal das es die kombination offiziell im englischen so nicht gibt (genauso wie "running high" vermutlich) aber ich wuerde da gern auf kuenstlerische freiheit plaedieren. wenn mir da ein native evtl. sagen koennte ob das so i.o. ist waer beruhigend

hey Cherry,
Englisches ist nicht mein Territorium und sprachlich habe ich keine Ahnung, aber dein Text fließt sehr schön, lässt sich bestimmt sehr gut singen, ist auch für einen Kraut sehr gut verständlich und ist vor allem sehr schön melancholisch.
ich kann sagen, dass er mich trotz meiner Voreingenommenheit gegen englische Texte aus deutscher Feder, gerüht hat.
Ich finde, dass die Bilder und Vergleiche zwar etwas altbacken und wie schon mal gehört rüberkommen, aber insgesamt schaffst du eine ruhige, angenehme, wenn auch traurige Atmosphäre in die man sich gut einfühlen kann und die sogar zum Schluß den (vielleicht ein bisschen kitschigen) "ray of hope" bereithält.

hey willy, vielen dank fuers lesen und den kommentar
beim ende habe ich ueberlegt ob ich es offen lasse oder den "ray of hope" einbaue, aber da ich von natur aus ein sehr positiver mensch bin habe ich es nicht ertragen es offen zu lassen, darum halt das vllt. ein klein wenig kitschige ende

und mal gucken, vllt. kommt ja noch einer der foren-englisch-cracks daher

in my mind reicht imho ... oder sowas wie: flying in/inside my mind - würde aber auch was leicht unterschiedliches bedeuten ...

Es ist natürlich Geschmacksache, was für ein Ende Du wählst. Ich persönlich finde, dass der Refrain ja schon die Hoffnung symbolisiert und der Text damit schon "in der Waage" ist - es bedarf nicht unbedingt der eindeutig positiven Auflösung.

Wenn Du das so fühlst, ist das natürlich auch völlig okay.

yah, ich denke es geht beides, aber "in my mind" ist fuer die gesangsmelodie an der stelle leider einen tacken zu kurz.

ich meinte hier drums als substantiv... also im deutschen wie "die trommeln meines herzens"...also gemeint ist das der herzschlag (oder hier halt die "herztrommel") hallen wider im raum des nichts... ich wollt halt anstelle des oeden heartbeat was anderes und drum schien mir da sehr passend und ein schoenes metapher
