Guten Abend,
Stranger (or: my day)
(1) Each and every day
has the weight of a year
People say how quickly
the time trickles away
but not alone, not here!
(2)
I want to tear down a wall
just with my fingernails
There's a lack of patience,
my life is deadly dull
and I miss your embrace
(Bridge)
Everything is done,
I'm dressed to kill
I'm staring at the door
It's our time that I'm living for.
(Chor.)
And then you're coming home
Tired and much too late
You cannot see that I'm down
You're more a stranger than my mate
(3)
I can never take back
these violating words
I said badly enraged:
You ought to pack your bag,
you've shown me what you're worth!
(4)
I try with the new dawn
to hold you, for our sake
But I truly think you run
into your perdition
for a starvation wage
(Bridge)
I'm really sorry
I wait for you
It's our common concern
We need every Dime that you earn
(Chor.)
And then you're coming home
Tired and much too late
You cannot see that I'm down
You're more a stranger than my mate
(Optionale Widerholung)
(Bridge)
Everything is done,
I'm dressed to kill
I'm staring at the door
It's our time that I'm living for.
(Chor.)
And then you're coming home
Tired and much too late
You cannot see that I'm down
You're more a stranger than my mate

Also, was haltet ihr davon? Über Meinungen würde ich mich sehr freuen! Schönen Abend noch
