Woman with the child
1. Last night I had a dream, I was walking through the future
I saw battles, I saw destruction, I felt hostility ev´rywhere.
Nobody was following me but I felt pursued.
2. I walked through dark ruins, stones formed heaps of rubble.
A chair stood there in the chaos. I saw a woman sitting on this chair.
She held a child in her arms, she seemed very calm.
Ref.: Say, Woman with the Child, you hold innocence in your arms. (nicht "the innocence" - Abstrakte Nomen haben keinen Artikel!)
Say Woman with the Child, you have our future in your hands.
Although your world is broken, you light this ray of hope. (Die Masseinheit für "hope" ist "ray" - der Strtahl. besser als "light" wäre "kindle", wenn's von den silben her passt.)
3. And then I heard a voice, coming out of the darkness,
asking the woman „Don´t you see the distress in the world?
There´s no chance for your child, you´ll live in sorrow!“
Ref.: Say, Woman with the Child, you hold innocence in your arms.
Say, woman with the child, you have our future in your hands.
Look at your world; it´s broken. Why you light this ray of hope. (oder "kindle this ray of hope", s.o.)
4. But she kept so calm and her lips were smiling.
No fear in her face, no tears in her eyes.
She simply said „I trust in GOD!“
Ref.: Say, Woman with the Child, you hold innocence in your arms.
Say, Woman with the Child, you have our future in your hands.
You know our world is broken, but you light this ray of hope. (oder "kindle this ray of hope", s.o.)
